EN-TRACK H2020 Project Successfully Concludes, Paving the Way for Future Energy Efficiency Investments
EN-TRACK’s successful project completion marks a significant advance in data-driven decision making for building energy efficiency across Europe.

The EN-TRACK project, supported by the Horizon 2020 program, officially concludes, having established a platform for enhancing energy efficiency investments (EEI) in the European Union. Over its three-year duration, EN-TRACK developed a crucial interoperable ecosystem of data and tools to support informed decision-making in building refurbishment.

Utilizing existing infrastructures, EN-TRACK enhanced the integration and analysis of diverse data sets, making them compatible with other major databases and tools. This advancement has led to clearer, quicker, and more transparent decision-making, thereby de-risking investments in the energy efficiency of buildings.

Key Achievements:
  • Institutional Adoption: EN-TRACK has been adopted as the official platform by ICAEN for monitoring all public buildings in Catalonia until 2028.
  • Strategic Agreements: The project secured 11 cooperation agreements with large building owners and 5 with financial institutions, demonstrating trust and utility in the platform’s capabilities.

Stoyan Danov, the project coordinator, shared insights on the project’s future: "The future exploitation of EN-TRACK is foreseen to continue through its use by current partners in Spain and Bulgaria and through promoting its use via cooperation agreements with prospective partners and users."
